We have a very special record to accompany Issue 78 of Electronic Sound. 'Purephase Tones' is a white vinyl seven-inch featuring two tracks from Spiritualized's ultra-rare 1996 EP 'Pure Phase Tones For DJs', mint copies of which now cost upwards of £50. Essentially a series of pulsing, hypnotic drones, they were intended to be used as tools in DJ sets and were regularly played at Spiritualized’s gigs during the late 1990s. Like the original release, our seven-inch is a dual speed disc, which means you can play it at both 33rpm and 45rpm. Ladies and gentlemen, this is vinyl voodoo at its best.
