ES792 Reader Offer: Röyksopp Seven-Inch

We like to think we've had some pretty striking covers over the years, but the photo of Röyksopp on the front of this month's Electronic Sound really is something else. We have a chunky interview with the Norwegian duo inside the magazine, while our other main features include Gwenno, Working Men’s Club, Anne Dudley, Caterina Barbieri, Ron Trent and Yann Tiersen, plus a bumper review of Bluedot 2022.

As always, we've an exclusive seven-inch to accompany your magazine, this time on blue vinyl and featuring two great Röyksopp tracks from their 'Profound Mysteries II' album. The A-side of the record is 'Denimclad Baboons', a larger-than-life instrumental with lots of dirty sub-bass and some cheeky nods to the group's 'Melody AM' debut LP. Flip the disc over to hear the melancholic and unsettling 'It Was A Good Thing', a collaboration with UK vocalist Pixx which represents a very different side to the band. As an added bonus, the surreal image on the seven-inch sleeve is the work of celebrated Australian artist Jonathan Zawada, who has worked closely with Röyksopp on the visuals for the 'Profound Mysteries' project.
