David Sylvian – Manafon (double 180g vinyl)

Sylvian’s seventh solo album since the dissolution of Japan was released 2009. This is the 2022 re-issue on 180 gram vinyl. It’s a beautiful and reflective double album of improvised sounds and performance, recorded over a three period in Vienna, Tokyo and London. Electro-acoustic improvisation, post-glitch electronica and Sylvian’s voice make for a poetic and reflective experience with lines like ‘The express train to Heathrow’ leaping out like literary bangers every now and then.
