Direct from Jack Dangers’ Tape Lab studio in San Francisco to Electronic Sound comes the Meat Beat Manifesto architect’s latest side project. Released under the name The JD’s (Jack Dangers and Jon Drukman), ‘The Texas Chain Store Manager’ is an explosive double album of trademark electronic pointillism and relentlessly inventive rhythm, written and bolted together by Jack and his partner-in-crime Jon Drukman (Bass Kittens/Pretension Records).

Spread over four sides of red and white splatter vinyl and presented in an enigmatic gatefold sleeve, The JD’s have created something of a concept album, with various supermarket tropes employed to keep you raving in the self-service line. From the furious agitation of ‘Store Detective’ to the stony groove of ‘Olive Bar’, you’ll be pushing your cart around these vinyl aisles like your life depends on it.
