Adelbert von Deyen was a Berlin based, German musician, composer, painter and a graphic artist, born 25 October 1953 in Süderbrarup, Schleswig-Holstein, died 13 February 2018. Inspired by both pop, Berlin School electronic music and Pink Floyd, he began working on his own music in sessions with longtime friend Dieter Schütz in the 1970s. He was signed to the Hamburg based Sky Records which released his first album ‘Sternzeit‘ (German for "sidereal time", as opposed to “solar time") in 1978. Sky Records released a total of nine von Deyen albums between 1978 and 1987, eight solo albums and one collaboration with Schütz, ‘Inventions’ (1983).
